Cupboards
One of Abby's favorite pasttimes is playing with tupperware. This time she cleared out enough that she could go in the cupboard herself. She even closed the door on herself. For some reason, she loves being in small places with the door closed. She sits in laundry baskets, in boxes, and even the bottom of Silas' bassinett. At 20lbs though, she can still get into small places.

Steel Cut Oats
Steel Cut Oats with Berry Medley - this was our breakfast this morning. And everyone loved it! Paul doesn't normally like oatmeal..."it's okay" but with the fresh fruit - "this is so much better".
Abby had three servings! Unbelievable - this is my girl who sometimes will eat just a bite or two. Personally, I think it was the brown sugar but hey, I'll take what I can get with her.

I love....
I love snuggling with this little one. I love his smiles and sounds.
I love how Abby loves her little brother. She's always trying to take care of him and kiss him.

Good Sport
Paul is a good sport. He rarely complains about what I make and tries all my inventions in the kitchen. The other night, I made pizza - with whole wheat crust, pesto sauce, feta cheese, and grilled veggies. And we had a glass of *pink* wine. Totally a girly dinner but my sweet husband ate it too and even said he enjoyed it.

I don't know what came over me...
I wanted to clean the living room and vacuum. Ahh....letting Abby color will let me get this done.
She quickly learned that coloring on herself was much more fun. Usually, I try to encourage her to color on the paper and not herself. Afterall, someday it might be a permanent marker she's playing with. But today....
I even took off her shirt so she could get even more messy. And I encouraged this silliness...see the heart on her stomach....yeah, that was mine. But the living room is clean and vacuumed :)

Cooking with Abby
Abby is on the mend. She and Paul actually went to the park yesterday. While Paul was grilling chicken last night, Abby did a bit of her own cooking. She gets very serious about cooking and helping. Thankfully it's plenty warm outside so this can be an outside activity.

My Valentine
This is my sweet hubby - my valentine. This week I am appreciate and love him all the more not because it's valentine's day but because he has been such a trooper with Abby. She's been sick the past three days (both ends) and Paul has been there every step of the way, including 4am baths to clean up the mess.
Such a good Daddy!!!
And still finds time to woo my heart with these beautiful flowers.
I love you Paul!!!!!

Heavenly
Yummy...absolutely amazing! These overnight cinnamon rolls were an early Valentine's treat. My little helper, Abby, is taste-testing the powdered sugar....yup, it's sweet!!!!
Final product!
And notice the cool cookbook stand I got this week from an amazon gift card. Hopefully, no more spills on to my cookbooks.

Happy Meal
Today Abby had her very first Happy Meal at McDonalds. Gone are the days when the meal came in a little cardboard box - now it is just a paper bag. There are also tons of choices - I went healthy on her and got the apples and milk instead of fries and a soda. We entered the kids play area - both of our eyes wide trying to take it all in. Abby ate her whole hamburger and just waved at people as they went by. After the hamburger, she started getting antsy. I let her down to "go play". At first, she just watched the other kids run around. Then she found the staircase tube. Up, up, up she went. As kids went by her, she kept going and following them. I lost all visual contact. I figured she found the tube that went across into the next play area and sure enough, out of the hanging helicopter, I hear a small, sweet voice saying "hi....mama....hi". I was glad she was having fun but my heart was beating so hard inside. "Would she be able to come back down? Would she fall? Would the bigger kids push her over? What if she starts crying and thinks she is stuck? What would I do with Silas? Would someone steal Silas while I am trying to get Abby?" (Yes, my imagination is still in overdrive). Finally, she started coming down and when I called her name, she just started crying. One kid wanted to help by pulling her down the stairs.....ughhh. Once she was out, hands cleaned, tears wiped away, Abby had a yummy cookie and all was well.

Agogo comes to visit!!!!
My mom came in just the nick of time! She was such a great help as we moved up to Goodyear and then as we unpacked. She spent a lot of the time holding the babies. I don't know how I would ever have gotten 'settled' without her help.
Abby loves being outside, dancing and playing. This is her new wagon which she also adores.

Getting settled
We've been in our new home now for just over two weeks. The boxes are unpacked and pictures are hung on the wall. It is home :) Abby already knows where everything is and how things work in the new place. She also has a unique ability to find every piece of trash left in the back yard by the previous owner. She's found an old Toystory doll, a blade, paper, and dog doodoo. We also have a play park just another house down from us. She loves playing outside. Today, she ran to the door and said "Let's go!!!".
Silas continues to grow and grow. The last few mornings, he's been smiley. It's hard for me to capture it on film because he usually smiles when I am in his face with my face. Another little bit of news is that he is actually and finally taking a paci. He's fussy a lot and this is making all of our lives a bit calmer.
